Reverse Consultation:
In order to meet the requirements of the Highly Qualified Teacher legislation, special education teachers who provide instruction for core subjects will do so in consultation with a highly qualified general education core subject area teacher. The general education teacher assigns the grade.

Work Experience/Transition Services:
At age 14, the student’s IEP addresses postsecondary transition needs in the areas of living, learning, and working. This may include work experience during the school day.

Special education students may attend the Garner Cardinal Center as deemed appropriate by the IEP team.  A special education teacher will be assigned to provide instruction and progress monitoring for identified goal areas.

  c)      hospital/homebound services

Combination of Options:
The student has needs that may require a combination of the above options.
